Kinship Press began around a family kitchen table, rooted in a shared desire to protect what matters most: human connection.

The heart of the story belongs to the family matriarch and Executive Producer, who migrated from the Philippines to Canada. Through years of working across hospitality, sales, and caregiving, she developed a deep capacity for care—learning how to comfort others, foster community, and bring warmth into every space she touched.

Years later, seeing her children balancing the demands of the corporate world and modern life, a shared realization emerged. In a fast-paced, digital age, simple, tactile moments of togetherness were disappearing.

That realization became a calling. Together, the family began imagining a different kind of publishing house — one that didn't chase trends, but instead created space for stillness. Books that invited people to slow down, pick up a pencil, and simply be present with one another.
